The Nespresso makes amazing coffee it’s super frothy like a cappuccino from the machine spinning quickly when extracting the coffee from the pod. Since I’m the only coffee drinker in my house, I use a Nespresso Vertuo machine. ![]() I add a splash of peppermint creamer to my morning coffee and a bit of plain half and half too. Mix well and transfer to glass jar for storage. Remove from heat and add peppermint extract and vanilla. Heat over medium heat until cocoa and sugar are dissolved. This recipe for Peppermint Coffee Creamer includes heavy cream, almond milk, peppermint extract, and maple syrup. Combine half and half with cocoa powder and sugar in a medium sauce pan. While I still like the natural creamers they sell in holiday flavors, they are often too chocolate-y for me when what I really want is a strong peppermint flavor. Holiday-flavored creamers used to be my favorite thing at this time of year, especially peppermint mocha. My first cup is usually ready before C wakes up for the day. I am a “drinks coffee immediately in the morning” type of person. I’m also drinking festive flavors in the morning with this Peppermint Coffee Creamer. I don’t mind because it’s putting me in a Christmas mood! The tree is up and decorated with toddler-safe ornaments and I’m working through my Christmas shopping list. This is now a layer of snow-ice on sidewalks that weren’t shoveled and on the CTA platform by my house. Chicago experienced the first snowstorm of the season at the beginning of the week, with blizzard conditions overnight and multiple inches of heavy, wet snow.
